Profile:

Andreas just finished his PhD in theoretical/computational Physics at the University of Hamburg and moved his daily live to Copenhagen, where his girlfriend lives. In his PhD he developed a method to treat arbitrary velocity fields in stellar atmospheres, implemented it into the stellar atmosphere code PHOENIX and compared his results to other approaches.

Beside studying he was working at the computer wholesale company Connect IT. He was responsible for everyday coordination of the tasks, customer correspondence and technical advice. He was involved in recruitment of new employees and the further development of the company.

He has been at the Universidad de Granada (Spain) within the Erasmus program, at the University of Oklahoma (USA) as a visiting scientist and attented the IAU 2009 conference in Rio de Jainero (Brasil). When he was younger, he was backpacking in Canada and Mexico.

He is born and raised in Filderstadt (South Germany) and has lived three years in Duisburg and seven years in Hamburg before he moved to Copenhagen.
